Hazrat Anas bin malik saw Prophet Muhammad ( صلی اللہ علیہ وسلم).while it was Asar prayer time. The companion Hazrat Rizwan was searching for water for ablution but did not find any. He brought a bowl of water to prophet (صلی اللہ علیہ وسلم) to do ablution. He (صلی اللہ علیہ وسلم) put his hand in the water and asked everybody to do ablution. The companion reported to have said that they saw water flowing from the fingers of Prophet Muhammad (صلی اللہ علیہ وسلم). There was enough water even though all did there ablution from this water. Hazrat Jabir is reported to have said that in hudaibiyah people were short of water. There a bowl of water was brought to Prophet Muhammad (صلی اللہ علیہ وسلم) he was doing his ablution with this water. People started looking at him in surprise. When he asked the reason, they said that they don’t have water to drink except the one in front of him. Prophet Muhammad (صلی اللہ علیہ وسلم) inserted his hand in the bowl and water stared flowing out from his hand just like a river. We all drank water and did ablution. I asked how many people were you, Hazrat Jabirرضی اللہ عنہ) ) said: we were 1500 however the water would have been enough for 1 lakh people as well.
Hazrat abu qatada reported to have said that we were in a journey with prophet Muhammad (صلی اللہ علیہ وسلم) Prophet Muhammad (صلی اللہ علیہ وسلم) asked me , “ do you have water? “ I answered,: yes RASOOL ALLAH, (صلی اللہ علیہ وسلم (I have a small container where I have stored water for my ablution. Prophet Muhammad (صلی اللہ علیہ وسلم) started doing ablution with this water. There was only little water remaining. He said ABU Qattara please save this water there will be news for it. When it was afternoon time, people came to Prophet Muhammad (صلی اللہ علیہ وسلم) and told him that they were very thirsty and there camels were tried and were also thirsty. The prophet Muhammad (صلی اللہ علیہ وسلم) ordered Abu Qattara to bring the saved little water. He did the same. Prophet Muhammad (صلی اللہ علیہ وسلم) then asked for a bigger container he started pouring this little water to the container everyone started drinking water from it. The water kept flowing. Many people gathered around it for water. Prophet Muhammad (صلی اللہ علیہ وسلم) said: Oh people! Have patience, there is enough water and everyone will get to drink it enough. Prophet Muhammad (صلی اللہ علیہ وسلم) also asked Abu Qattara to drink the water. Abu Qattara offered Prophet Muhammad (صلی اللہ علیہ وسلم) first, however Prophet Muhammad (صلی اللہ علیہ وسلم) refused to drink it from him. Abu Qattara drank water and so did Prophet Muhammad (صلی اللہ علیہ وسلم). The water in the container was same as before there were around 300 people there and some say that there were 700 people.
Hazrat maaz bin Jabir reported to have said that Prophet Muhammad (صلی اللہ علیہ وسلم) said that, “you will reach the river of tabouk tomorrow how ever do not touch the water until I come. Hazrat maaz reached there and found two people were already there. The river was found with very less flow of water. When Prophet Muhammad (صلی اللہ علیہ وسلم) arrived, he inquired if any one touched the water. The two people who were already present there told him that they touched the water. Prophet Muhammad (صلی اللہ علیہ وسلم) was very upset and got angry on them رضوان اللہ علیہم اجمعین took same water from the river in a bowl prophet Muhammad (صلی اللہ علیہ وسلم) washed his face and hand from this water. The same water was put back to the river. After doing so the river started flowing with heavy water. Everyone drank water from this river he said “maaz you will see this place crowded with demons.
Usman bin qasim reported that when hazrat um aiman رضی اللہ تعالی عنہ was travelling once and was fasting. She felt thirsty and had no water to break her fast. A bucket of appeared from the sky and she drank water from it.she says that after that she never felt thirsty again even though she fasted in summer.
